Wow its October already, it appears that I last posted in April; how did that happen?! It’s been a very busy summer at Cakes & Drapes, as much with big celebration cakes as wedding this year. I’ve been delighted to make many cakes for returning customers, there really is nothing nicer than getting an enquiry for a christening/naming ceremony or birthday cake for the children of my previous wedding couples or their own significant milestone birthdays; it tells me their marriage is going strong and I must doing something right. Celebration cakes are often my opportunity to have fun with sugar rather than working within the confines of the more elegant wedding cakes, I do love a bit of modelling and bright colours. Here are just a few of my favourite repeat customer cakes from the last few month.
